The call for papers is open for EISEAIT 2026, the 4th Workshop on Engineering Interactive Systems Embedding AI Technologies. The workshop takes place on June 30, 2026 at EICS 2026, with hybrid participation planned. I am co-organizing this edition together with colleagues from across Europe. I’m excited to announce my involvement in two upcoming EICS conferences: I’m co-chairing the EICS 2026 Doctoral Consortium together with Fabio Paternò from CNR-ISTI, Italy, and Nikos Avouris, and I will be a general co-chair together with Célia Martinie for EICS 2027.
I’m excited to announce the publication of a special issue I co-edited titled “Human-Centered Approaches to Worker Well-being in the Age of Industry 5.0” in Frontiers. This collection of papers explores diverse aspects of worker well-being within the Industry 5.0 framework, focusing on both physical and cognitive well-being while respecting workers’ privacy.
Industry 5.0 and Worker Well-being: The special issue examines how the Industry 5.0 paradigm complements technological advancements with an enhanced focus on human workers, addressing challenges in creating sustainable and healthy work environments.
We will be organizing a workshop on Engineering Interactive Systems Embedding AI Technologies at the EICS 2024 conference – Tuesday June 24th or June 25th 2024 in Caglieri, Italy. Submissions welcome.
Together with Carmen Santoro I edited the PACMHCI EICS issue, with papers presented at EICS 2023.
